So how did Asjiana’s Home Away From Home come about? I’ve always knew I had a passion with working with children but I wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted to work with children. I feel like me being the oldest sibling also help me grow passion for children even more. Seeing them all grow from newborns till now is such an amazing experience. It was always exciting to see them learn their first words, take their first steps or even their reaction to trying new foods. I grew to love all of the stages of child development. So I explored my options to see what I may like the most. My first real job with kids was a daycare job and I just grew more love for children. I knew then and there I wanted to work in daycares or teach. Then 2020 came and I got blessed with my first family I got to nanny for. During the year and a half I was with them not only did I watch the child grow but I was grateful enough to be apart of some of his growth. I was able to teach him and help him reach his goals such as motor skills, speech or even a simple goal like using a spoon. That meant a lot to me. Knowing I have the ability to teach and be there to help or guide children to be the best they can is very rewarding! So I felt that I wanted to do more for families out here, and that’s how the in home childcare came about. Words can’t describe how grateful I am to finally be able to use my passion to provide a safe, loving, nurturing childcare for families!
